The KILT Studio Origin Story

Consumer preferences have shifted from radio to podcast listening.

Consumers are looking for on-demand, personalized content that allows listeners to choose topics and formats that suit their preferences, leading to a more engaging and flexible audio experience.

This shift in demand spurred the creation of KILT Studio.

The KILT Studio idea came from Patrick Lynch's participation in a Podcast Pitchfest sponsored by ARKAST.

Patrick pitched his idea for the Career Pathways podcast and won two free hours of podcast time at the Dream N' Stream Studios in Little Rock.

With his teammates, Jayson Nichols and Gavin Brunson, they recorded two podcasts with Skip Rutherford and Viktoria Capek.

From that experience, Jayson, Gavin, and Patrick were inspired to build the KILT Studio at Lyon College.
